Joke Neyrinck, a 36-year-old Belgian illustrator has turned her whole house into her personal doodle sketch book.



Joke Neyrinck, also known as Jook Doodle Woman, a graphic designer by profession, has doodled her entire house with creative doodle designs from her subconsciousness and imagination in Ostend, Belgium.


In an interview with Journal Post, Neyrinck said that her inspiration came from Mr. Doodle. She said, “I saw him doing great in the field of arts and i wanted to do the same.”


The Doodle Woman has claimed that she has had an experience in paper and digital drawing for 10 years, but now wants to go further.
“I was busy drawing stuff on paper and digital for a decade. Now I want to draw walls in the public places, just like Mr. Doodle.”


Doodling her husband’s house was quite challenging for her. Neyrinck added, “Drawing my own house was a promotional tool to be in the limelight.”



Although she is a professional graphic designer but the Belgian’s has always had a passion towards drawing. Talking to our representative, she confirmed, “I love it because its my passion, it relaxes me.”
On a lighter note she added, “It is the only thing I am good at.”

According to Neyrinck, to doodle one complete room, it takes almost 2-3 days. So far, she has doodled six rooms at her husband’s house. She started doodling her house with creativity in June 2017.


Neyrinck also added that through her art, she wants people to dwell in the world of her subconscious. She said that her doodles are from her imaginations and once they are out on display, she feels relaxed.

Talking about her skills she said, “I draw without preparation, I doodle directly with ink. It is always surrealistic.”
Neyrinck wants to doodle public places, she said that choosing a wall as a form of canvas has a motive, because she wants to doodle walls of different restaurants and other public places.

The Belgian has already doodled her friend’s kitchen and is looking for more opportunities to showcase her talent. She said, “I will be doodling at my hairdresser and it will be all my surrealistic and unprepared style.”

Neyrinck also has a dream of publishing her own book on her art. She stated, “I want to publish my own doodle coloring book.”

Joke Neyrinck claimed that help from Kickstarter funding would boost her work a lot, but even if she doesn’t receive the help, she is quite certain about achieving her goals in future.
